I don't know for sure, my wife washes all my/our panties and lingerie, I'll ask her and let you know, but I think she hand washes the bras and lets them drip dry, and machine washes our undies with Era and the delicate cycle!

I have found if you buy quality panties like VF, Bali, Werners, they last much longer than cheap panties, the elastic holds up for the life of the pantie!

I just throw mine in the washer with regular detergent on gentle, then throw them in the dryer on low heat. I've never had a problem with anything wearing out any sooner by doing this. I have bra's and panties that are 5-6 years old that still look like brand new.

I hand wash them, using Dreft baby detergent, I always shape and lay them flat on a coated wire shelf to dry.(The dryer is too harsh on the elastic and other fabrics.)

Honestly, it does not matter what type of detergent you use on your underwear. What is important if you are trying to keep your clothes from fading is not using hot water. If you want to keep your things looking like new, air dry them. This is especially important for bras. They lose their shape in the dryer.

If you have the time, you can really extend the life of your bras (especially underwire and padded bras) by hand washing and air drying them.

I work in retail around undies all day. Woolite or dreft is best for detergent place the items in a pillow case and put the machine on the delicate cycle. Don't put them in the dryer! It will destroy the elastic. Lay them flat to dry. Mold the cups on small bowls so they retain thier shape. Hope that helps.

I wash my most expensive undies in warm water with DREFT, detergent for babies, or the original baby shampoo from Johnson & Johnson. All them have the least amount of harsh chemicals and remember, don't ever put your bras in the dryer. It just ruins the shape and longevity of them.
