www.facebook.com YES!!!! Four years ago we were osteopathic virgins — and now… and now we are osteopathic HEROS!!! Is heros really the right word? Well, lets compare ourselves to the most famous of the world’s heroes… Hercules!!! He began like us, completely happy, stress free and oblivious to his calling as a hero until he sought the counsel of the oracle at Delphi. Admittedly, I doubt anyone travelled to Delphi to ask if osteopathy was part of their destiny but we did all at one stage seek guidance at the oracle of Jez… i. Ahhh Yes, the oracle at Jez i, just to understand what’s happening in this sacred circle of trust, you must first ground yourself, then walk back up stairs through the back of your head and then observe that which cannot be observed and then listen… not too hard, not too soft but just right (and I quote) like baby bear’s porridge — and then and only then will you palpate that which the oracle has lead you to palpate.) While we embarked on a four year journey through the ESO, Hercules was led to embark upon what is now known as ‘the labours of Hercules’ Dressed in his lion fur and armed with a club he commenced a journey that destined him for greatness. So robed in our white clinic coats and armed with our patella hammers, we set off into the great wide world of clinic to carve our names into the tree of osteopathy. (Now this is where my plan started falling apart at 2 last night so excuse the blatant lack of co-hessiveness) Task number one …
