Over 100 million Americans have tried it at least once, and now 13 states have legalized medical marijuana. Here is my, “contrary to popular belief” list 1. Mounting evidence has shown it is far less dangerous than alcohol and cigarettes, legal medicines, and even caffeine, yes thats right you can OD on coffee. 2. No person has ever overdosed on marijuana ever, not once in the history of the world. It is simply not toxic enough. 450000+ die each year from tobacco cigarettes, while a good 50000+ die from alcohol overdose. 3. Those high on marijuana are less likely to commit violent acts, not more likely. In fact, I watched a video on youtube about a British test where a man was given a marijuana joint to smoke and then was given a driving test. He performed better high. Marijuana actually makes you far more cautious 4. IT DOES NOT LEAD TO LUNG CANCER. A natural grown plant simply is not toxic enough to cause lung cancer 5. It does not kill brain cells. In fact, studies are showing that it may in fact STIMULATE brain cells. Read about it here www.sciencedaily.com 6. It is about as addictive as a peanut, and there are no withdrawl symptoms. I havent smoke in, lets see, one month tomorrow, and I have felt nothing wrong with me. 7. The gateway theory is false. If you watch Penn & Tellers bull****, numerous studies have shown that alcohol and cigarettes are far more likely to lead to hard drugs. @Robstailey Ive been doing alot of research since I post that to you! There is a volunteer group in Fl where I live PUFMM People United for Medical Marijuana. Everyone if you live in Fl look at my channel click the website link. It takes you to my Facebook page I set up, sign the petition lets get this on a ballot and voted into our constitution!!! Join my Facebook page all the info is there on what we need to do, help us out legalize it!!

@GTILOUD lobbyists can’t stop a bill from becoming law if the people vote for it. and vote they will, polls show that CA citizens support legalization, and I’d be willing to bet those polls don’t fully show how strong the support is. everyone was surprised at the unprecedented turnout for the medicinal vote, and this will be even bigger.
after that, the other states will see what a positive effect it has, and quickly draw up their own bills.

it is’nt bad at all i always know wat i am doing when i’m high it doesnt really give u smokers cough i run a mile every night and i’m fine i believe god created marijuana so we can all relax and not b stress just like the indains the peace pipe why do you think they call it tht come on now marijuana is not bad at all it is a great use for medical and once and a great while personal use

@ICEBERG6721 I know they don’t care thats why I said for them to pull there heads out of their ass…..And that is so true the govt wants or may have control so maybe your right bout that… They just need to stop jerking off and legalize it…cigaretts kill and they are legal alcohol kills and its legal why should pot not be legal? I mean when I smoked it for some years it was so easy to get the only difference if it was legal I would not of worried as I was driving home with it.

@MTBMANIAC1 the govt doesnt care about health risks or benefits when it comes to weed. do you really think the government is out for the well being of us? if they were, you would get 80 years for a pack of newports or a big mac haha the real reason of why marijuana is not legal is because the more you smoke, the more you expand your consciousness. you will begin to look at life outside the box, and question every aspect of reality. they dont want people thinking for themselves, they wantcontrol.

I used to smoke pot and I miss it lol… I say legalize the dam plant already and lets make earth a happier place to live. I mean come on goverment pull your heads out of your ass. I mean Cigaretts are legal and they have no health benefits and takes lives year after year.Pot does have health risk but it also provides health benifits a double edge sword I guess…..

seriously though, i am about to turn eighteen, my goals in life are to create a company or corporation which helps people live their dreams, and to leagalize pot. Why leagalize pot? well, pot has its disadvantages, that much is true. There are so many more advantages to Marijuana, that most everday stoners do not know. Hell, its even helping me quit smoking ciggs. yay. oh yea, the cigg thing, definitely should be researched
