Do places like goodwill accept used underwear that is in good condition?
by admin on Mar.27, 2010, under Uncategorized
I am getting rid of a bunch of stuff and I have underwear I don’t wear anymore. There are no holes or streaks or anything. Do these places accept underwear or should I just toss it?
Good lord…people that shop at Goodwill are either really poor or they are homeless. I don’t think homeless people care about used panties.
For all you people saying it is nasty…what if you donate shorts that you never wear underwear with? Or what about pit-stained t-shirts. Come on people…you all have computers so you can probably afford clean underwear…but what about the people who can’t?
Nevermind…went to goodwill and they do accept underwear.

Yes, they accept it.

I do not think so, but a local church would. I got a pair from the local church, and I later saw, they were very used. Yikes!

I’ve seen sox, tights, camesoles, slips and even some bras. But I have not ever seen panties. Think about it. Would you buy them? Or even want them for free if you didn’t know who’d worn them prior? I think not. Give them to your sister or Mom or best friend if you can’t stand to trash them.

I’ve seen bras at Goodwill, but not underpants. I don’t know if they would take them or not.
They boil everything they get so that it will be safe for someone else to use; however, I feel sorry for anyone who can only afford to buy used underclothing. :/

I don’t know if they accept them or not but I’d never consider donating used underwear. Bras might be fine, but certainly not panties.

As much as I applaud your efforts to hand your clothes over to other people who can use them, I think the line stops at underwear. Even if they are clean and in good condition, most people would appreciate having their own new underwear. If you are so concerned about giving new underwear, perhaps you can buy a new pack and throw it into your package. Donating used underwear just seems inappropriate and a bit off-color to me.

Yes they do……but ……….panties too ?

Wash them with light caustic soda solution. soak them in some non fungal solution and dry in the day sunlight. keep a piece of Naphthalene and Pack them in Polythene bags and hand over to a Church.
You should not convey any skin disorder to those poor ones who are going to use your used under garments.

They do purely because there are people that don’t have anything. But personally, I wouldn’t want to wear underwear that someone else had worn. I guess if you don’t have anything else, something is better than nothing.

The japs would like them…There are sex shops there where they actually canned them and sell for very high prices…

Jaja come on! Who would give used under wear?? Even if its washed with acid, and all the fungus is gone =P. I dont really know if they accept it or dont but come on that just sounds nasty

they accept most anything but whod buy used underware? Most items donated to good will are sold to the textile industry for re manufacutring, if youre a hottie you can usually seel your worn undies on the net to some pervert though and donate the money to charity

I have never tried to find out the answer to this question, but I suppose if they are in good shape, it’s a good deal for someone….I can’t see myself making that purchase, but hey, not everyone sees it that way.

Hmm used panties? And you think homeless people deserve them just because they cannot afford to buy new? Interesting. Please toss them honey. In the most dire of circumstances, I would not wear someone else’s underwear and I’m more than sure, neither would you. Let’s be honest. Just because some people are without financial means, doesn’t necessarily mean they want our used panties. I’m sure most would go without if faced with the dilema! There is a point where even the under-privelaged draw the line.

Just because someone is poor does not mean they don’t have any dignity. Since a new three pack of panties of Hanes or Fruit of the Loom is only a few dollars, I’m sure the less financially off will go to Goodwill for other items. Please donate new underwear and throw out the used.
